The Health and Social Care Department is run by one member of staff and offers a Cambridge Nationals Certificate Vocational Qualification in Health and Social Care at Key Stage 4 only.
The course offered in this department aim to provide a wide range of practical activities for pupils to experience such completing a Day of First Aid Training with St John’s Ambulance, doing role plays to demonstrate skills learned, creating realistic support plans for service users and client groups, and learning about what expectations there are on care practitioners to provide good quality care.
The course offered aim to provide pupils with an insight into the many different vocations within Health, Social Care and Early Years Settings, providing excellent foundations for potential future training and employment.
