Message from the Head

Dear parents

The academic year 2009-2010 has been another FIRST-CLASS one for the school. As you are no doubt aware, speculation regarding the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme continues to rumble on. However currently, and unless we are informed otherwise, we are still very much part of the programme. That being the case we will continue to work with the support of the Local Authority, the council and local politicians, for what we really need and deserve, i'e. an outstanding school building to match the outstanding education we provide. You can rest assured that as soon as we have any updates re the BSF programme we will pass the (hopefully good) news directly to you.

Once again it is a credit to the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school that we look forward to GCSE/Vocational qualification results day on Tuesday 24th August with yet another first-class set of results predicted. Additionally, when you consider the fantastic array of achievements, experiences and opportunities outlined within this newsletter, it speaks volumes for all who play a full and active role in the school.
